After a great conference this week in San Francisco, I'm in Santa Clara with Rosa, Esteban, Hannah and Yago for the weekend. This morning, Rosa and I ran 4 miles. She's training for a 10K to raise money for the arts for Hannah's school. A group of teachers and parents are running in a race in Santa Cruz and they have a trainer who has been working with them since February. I've never gone running with a trainer before so at first it was a little disconcerting to have someone riding on a bike alongside you but it was fun to have another person to chat with and cheer you on.

Matt, the trainer, does personal training and coaching for runners -- primarily individuals and non-profit groups. What a great way to raise money for a worthy cause and get in shape. It's also a great team-building activity. I'd love to do something like this this summer for folks in OIIT. We have a number of runners in the group and it would be fun to run with them on the weekend in road races -- especially the Harpoon races since they provide free beer afterwards!

If you'd like to donate to Rosa's art cause, visit her website. The race is on April 22nd so donate soon!

Rachel's Boston Shower

Since Katharina and I could not attend Rachel's shower in New York, we decided to throw her one her in Boston. We had a lovely dinner in South End at Katharina's place.

Can you even tell that Rachel is pregnant? (She's on the right :))She looks fabulous!
Last night at dinner Alex and I were saying how great it is that we've stayed friends with Jonathan over the years. That got us to thinking about Paris -- Jonathan and Paris go hand in hand. I know I was just in Spain last spring for Isabel and Isidro's wedding but it already feels like ages ago. I'm due for another trip soon. Good thing we're scheduled for Ireland in June. But Paris though... the cafes, the cheese, the wine, the pain au chocolat, the crepes, (can you tell I love the food!) ... and the people watching! Alex, take me to Paris!

Sail and Nhat are back from their trip around the world. Isn't it crazy how sometimes you have to leave where you are to better understand where you belong?

I'm meeting up with Sail in San Fran next week -- I'll be there for a the CoSN technology conference. Looking forward to having some time away from the hustle of BPS -- although there's plenty of planning and work to be done while away. Never a boring day in Boston!

Happy Birthday Jenny!!!!

Hope you had a great day with Amina. We thought of you a few weeks ago on our way back from Philly as we crossed the Tapanzee bridge and sang your song. So, instead of a happy birthday song...

Tapanzee, Tapanzee, tap, tap, Tapanzee...Tapanzee, Tapanee, tap, tap, Tapanzee... Tapanzeeeeeeeeeee

We just realized that you share your day with Pi. For a tribute to Pi, check out Alex's blog.

Hannah Banana

A few months old now but here's a relatively recent photo of Hannah Banana while in Florida. It's crazy how much she looks like Stef as a baby. Look at those blue eyes! How adorable!!!
